I'm not a squash lover at all. I know my mother in law likes to slice it, bake it, and sprinkle with brown sugar.
I put squash in a baking dish with a bit of water, face down first, cover with saran and cook in microwave for like 2 minutes, then flip over, and cook for 10 more minutes with butter and brown sugar in there. The time depends on the thickness, and this receipe is technically for Fresh Fresh Acorn Squash. It is pretty tasty and the oven takes FOREVER!!!
