We've been sick now for what, three weeks? Two and a half? Too long, anyway: First Uno, then me, then Dos, and then a scare with Tres but it turns out she's fine.... We've been fever-free now for two days (and by we I mean Dos, as Uno and I have been okay for a week), and all other symptoms have diminished as well. So we're breaking out. Flying the coop. We're having a family date night!
In precisely one hour, I will load up the girls and go pick up DH from work. We will then drive an hour to the lovely Cache Valley where we will eat dinner at the National House of Bancakes and get groceries at Walmart (where, unlike our local market, they actually refrigerate perishables on a consistent basis).
This is what passes for a fabulous outing around here. And you know what? I'm so excited I can hardly stand it.
Crappy diner food and Walmart, here we come! Woo-hoooooo!

Wow! You guys sure do know how to have a good time! ;)
Have fun!
Glad that you guys are feeling better. I am SOOO excited to see you in April if it is at all possible!
Go big or go home, that's what I always say. :-D
Don't worry, a couple of weeks ago Paul, Peter, and I went to Walmart and it was seriously the highlight of my week because it was just the three of us instead of Mom, Dad, Camilla, Chris, Sam, tending kids ... Yes, I love those guys (well, not so much the tending kids but the rest) but it was fantastically fun to be out-and-about with my little family.
Welp, turns out going to Walmart with DH is a mixed blessing.... It's very (VERY!) nice having a second grownup to wrangle kids, but he's Mr. No Nonsense Check The Shopping List Man while I prefer to browse. Irritation on someone's part (or both parts) is inevitable, lol.
Still, we had a great evening. It doesn't matter what we did or where we went, it was just nice to be together and to get out of the house. :-)
