When I asked DH if he knew of any interesting buildings or stone work anywhere, he suggested an old dam that's way out in the country north and west of here. So I loaded up the girls and we went for a drive! This turned out to be the most interesting photo of the week:

Those of you who can and do photograph architecture well, spill your secrets! I tried and tried, but I kept hitting that proverbial brick wall. Ha, ha. ;-)
Mary, your next challenge is ... lights! You should have plenty of holiday subjects, if that appeals to you, but feel free to go in a different direction if your heart leads you elsewhere. As always, I look forward to your results! :-)

I think it turned out quite interesting though! I take pics of houses a lot but I don't think I have much talent at it--I just get lucky sometimes. I always try to frame it how I think it would look in a decorating magazine.
Great photo. Dam great photo. (No? Sorry.) Now that you say it, I can't remember seeing photos of buildings that I really really like.
Btw, my Dad (who is a singer) sings the Idaho song, the Pocatello High School song, and he does his imitation of the drunk guy at Idaho State who cheered on the football team back in the day. Turns out it's annoying even thought he can carry a tune.
I think it turned out really well, it is such an interesting shot! It is very pleasing to my eyes!
I agree, shooting buildings and such is really hard for me too. I really do love this photo (and the title, hehe!). You did a great job!
