How did a banana peel end up in the washing machine with my load of whites? (And why did I not notice it until after I'd run the load? Ugh.)
Something to ponder.

wow, how DID that happen?
I haven't interrogated the two persons of interest in this case yet (they're napping), but here are my theories:
Someone ate a banana in my bedroom, and found it easier to put the peel in the laundry basket than in the garbage can which is a mere five feet away.
OR
Someone ate a banana downstairs, and found it easier (and/or more interesting) to drop it into the already running washer than in the garbage can which is a mere five feet away.
Either way.... GRRRRR.
(For the record, the clothes seem to be okay; I ran the load again, just to make sure I wouldn't set in any missed stains in the dryer, though.)
